China Glaze Lubu Heels

Hey everyone,  Happy Holidays! I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays with their loved ones – this is usually the time for holiday manicures but for some reason I just didn’t get into the fun of it because of all the commotion of final exams, Christmas shopping and just simply trying to enjoy the holidays. While I usually wear a lot of red polishes before and on Christmas Day, this year I found myself more drawn to darker shades with a glitter combination. As you guys may have guessed from my previous post on Deborah Lippmann’s Cleopatra in New York.

China Glaze Lubu Heels – is a black semi-jelly base infused with a TON of evenly dispersed red glitter particles. This is one of my first ever China Glaze polishes…. when I started getting into nail polishes back in 2010, this polish was HIGH on my list as a must have..I love the black and red glitter combination and it was such a unique polish when it was first released and after many manicures I always find myself mesmerized by it! It is definitely a beauty!

The manicure you are viewing was opaque on two coats BUT it is important as I have learned the hard way – to allow the first coat to dry completely before applying a decent second coat – this will result in a opaque manicure with the glitter particles being evenly distributed. I have always considered this polish to be ‘Rockstar Festive’ polish meaning it’s edgy because of the black base but festive due to the red glitter particles. I just adore the hell out of this polish and it is one of the ONLY China Glaze polishes I will repurchase when this bottle is over.

This is what it looks like with a Top Coat – isn’t she a beauty??!!! I love this polish so much that I will be wearing it on Christmas day!! As a nail junkie choosing my Christmas polish is a big moment for me lol – it usually sets the tone for my nail polish winter picks and this beauty will definitely be on my Top 12 Nail Polish Picks for Winter! I highly recommend this polish and I am happy to report that with a good base coat and top coat this baby does not chip until Day 4 which is pretty good for a dark polish. You guys definitely need to try this polish, as far as I know it is a permanent shade.
