Essie Ballet Slippers

Hey everyone, so today I have a really simple, chic but beautiful nail polish. Now I have to admit, I haven’t found my perfect nude as of yet…got very close but still haven’t found the nude polish I will cherish forever that works well with my skin tone. But that being said,  I have purchased many in the last couple of years in search of that perfect shade which brings me to this polish!

Essie Ballet Slippers – is a very chic ‘your nails but better’ pale off white polish. This is one of Essie’s original shades since they first launched in the 1980’s and I completely understand why it is a cult classic. It is the perfect shade that does NOT lean too pink or too yellow which is why it honestly looks good on everyone!

To achieve an opaque manicure I did have to apply three coats of polish but it was worth it! The dry time was decent for three coats of polish but just look at that high shine! That’s the polish WITHOUT a top coat, how awesome is that?! Now this manicure lasted about a full week without a single chip, but I believe that may be attributed to the Essie base & top coat I am currently using. The most interesting thing about this polish is that I honestly did not want to change it so, I wore it TWICE in the past two weeks!!! I literally took it off and put it back on….this rarely happens!

I think if you haven’t jumped on the Essie Ballet Slippers boat, you kinda have to – it’s a polish that looks like nothing special but the patience in applying it is soooo worth it because you look so put together and chic with it on. It’s definitely a work appropriate polish and I think it’s an EXCELLENT first date polish – it looks so feminine without trying too hard yet it makes you look put together all at the same time! I adore it!! You definitely need this and I can’t wait to wear it again.

Application: 10/10
